Salary: USD 100,000 - 300,000 / annual
Hercules is building the future of AI software development. We're looking for a Staff-level frontend software engineer to own and build user-facing interfaces and experiences across our platform.
You will work on:
- AI Agent: the AI harness that enables anyone to build powerful full-stack applications
- App Builder: the interface for building, previewing, and deploying apps
- Mobile app: our PWA-based mobile building experience
- Marketing pages: public display pages for products, features, and docs
You'll be part of a founding team in San Francisco with a strong preference for in-office work. We are open to remote for exceptional candidates willing to work US time zones and travel to the office regularly.
Our tech stack includes TypeScript, React, AI SDK, Postgres, Redis, Clickhouse, Tailwind, IaC (CDK, Terraform), Docker, OpenTelemetry, Hono, Drizzle ORM, and Temporal. We use Cloudflare and AWS for cloud infrastructure, and integrate OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google AI models.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Exceptionally strong software fundamentals: system design, architecture, data modeling, API design
- Code and codebase quality: ability to write clean, maintainable code and work effectively in monorepos
- Product sense: track record of independently shipping features to customers
- Design sense: beautiful, opinionated UX/UI sensibility
- Core frontend stack expertise: TypeScript and React required; ideally some experience with containers, Postgres, and Redis
- AI proficiency: ability to leverage frontier AI coding tools to 10x your workflow
- Alignment with company operating principles: bias for action, excellence, and hunger to break through walls
