OneTrust is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the AI Governance team and help build the company's industry-leading platform for responsible data and AI use. In this role, you will develop Java microservices and libraries that integrate with various AI platforms, designing and implementing backend features deployed to Microsoft Azure using Core Java, REST APIs, and the Spring ecosystem.
Your responsibilities include:
Development: Design, develop, and unit test Java microservices and libraries for AI platform integrations. Contribute to architectural decisions for new backend features while supporting existing platform development. Ensure code quality with at least 80% test coverage or per team standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with UX designers, Product Managers, Product Owners, and fellow engineers. Participate in planning and grooming sessions, drive team discussions on system architecture and component design, and mentor junior engineers.
Architecture & Leadership: As a Staff-level engineer, you'll guide technical direction, influence design decisions across the AI Governance product, and help establish best practices for microservice development and cloud architecture on Azure.
The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Java, microservices architecture, cloud platforms (Azure preferred), and REST API design. You should be comfortable working in agile environments, have strong communication skills, and be passionate about solving complex integration challenges in the AI governance space. Experience with Spring Boot, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices is valuable.
