Voyager Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer III to lead systems engineering efforts on Missile Defense Agency (MDA)-aligned missile defense programs. This role emphasizes requirements development, system verification planning and execution, risk management, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) in a mission-critical defense environment. Key responsibilities include leading and maintaining system, subsystem, and interface requirements across the program lifecycle with full traceability to MDA standards. You will develop and manage system-level verification plans, procedures, and compliance matrices, then plan and support execution of system-level verification events including reviews, inspections, and tests. The role requires conducting technical risk assessments, maintaining mitigation plans, and tracking risk documentation throughout the program. You will interface regularly with cross-functional teams including propulsion, software, hardware, test, guidance/navigation/control (GNC), quality, and safety disciplines. Customer and supplier stakeholder coordination is essential, communicating requirements changes, verification status, and risk posture. You will support development and maintenance of MBSE artifacts using SysML and Cameo/MagicDraw tools, participate in configuration management and change control processes, and support formal design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR). Required qualifications include 4-7 years of systems engineering experience in DoD, aerospace, or missile defense programs. You must have proven experience in requirements development, verification planning, and risk management, with familiarity of MDA processes, technical reviews, and CDRL development. Hands-on MBSE experience using SysML in Cameo Systems Modeler is essential, along with strong stakeholder coordination and cross-functional communication skills. A Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related STEM field is required. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in systems engineering or related discipline. Key technical skills include proficiency in DOORS or equivalent requirements management tools, competence in developing and interpreting SysML diagrams, experience with Cameo Systems Modeler, excellent written and verbal communication, familiarity with systems engineering lifecycle standards (INCOSE SE Handbook, MIL-STD-499, EIA-632), and strong technical writing abilities. Experience supporting technical reviews for MDA programs, knowledge of DoDAF or similar system architecture frameworks, and INCOSE ASEP/CSEP certification are valued. Approximately 10% travel is expected.
