CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff Revenue Accountant to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting activities. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, internal controls, and government contracting requirements. The position is critical to maintaining a strong internal control environment and supporting audit readiness as the company scales within the highly regulated aerospace and defense sector.
The Staff Revenue Accountant will partner closely with cross-functional leaders and serve as a trusted accounting advisor to management. This is a hands-on role in a dynamic startup environment where you will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on a growing company's financial infrastructure. The role requires deep expertise in revenue recognition, financial statement preparation, and compliance with both commercial and government contracting accounting standards.
Key responsibilities include overseeing revenue accounting processes, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, supporting internal and external audits, and providing financial analysis to support business decisions. Candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State due to export control regulations governing space technology.
