Constructor powers product search and discovery for some of the world's largest retailers, serving billions of requests weekly. This Staff Product Manager role sits at the core of the Product Discovery Engine chapter, responsible for strategy and execution across search quality, ranking, recall, query understanding, and personalization.
You will own business impact—measured by search-attributed conversion, revenue per visit, and GMV—rather than feature count. Starting embedded with the Search Quality team, you'll own its strategy and roadmap while getting deep into the systems that determine what shoppers see. Over time, your mandate expands to setting direction for the entire Product Discovery Engine chapter, aligning multiple teams (ML Recall, ML Infra, CORE, SABR, Catalog Management) behind a coherent vision.
Key responsibilities include: driving measurable lift in business metrics across all retail verticals served; translating latest ML/IR research and competitive moves into production wins; defining multi-quarter strategy tied directly to customer outcomes; orchestrating the discovery pipeline so improvements compound; partnering deeply with ML and data science to move models from research to production; building metrics and evaluation frameworks that measure quality and business impact; leading triage and systemic fixes when issues arise; and expanding into chapter-wide leadership.
Search at Constructor is fundamentally an ML problem. You'll work at the intersection of product strategy, machine learning, and business outcomes, keeping the company ahead of both commercial competitors and academic state of the art. Success means driving measurable business-metric lift across every major retail vertical, shipping state-of-the-art ML/LLM-assisted capabilities, winning head-to-head quality benchmarks, and building evaluation frameworks that tie investments directly to customer outcomes.
This is a Staff role with a clear path to Director as you take on broader chapter leadership. The company is Series B, doubling year-over-year, and values empathy, openness, curiosity, and metrics that matter.
