Built is an AI-powered platform transforming real estate finance and construction management. The company powers over 350 lenders, 80,000+ borrowers and owners, and manages $300 billion in active projects. Every transaction—draws, inspections, budget changes, payments—generates data that customers need to manage risk and run their portfolios. You will own Built's data capabilities and reporting tools end-to-end: embedded reporting and analytics, portfolio insights, data delivery into customer systems, and the data foundation for AI features. This is a high-impact product area where you set the roadmap with limited direction, make tradeoff calls, and bring stakeholders along with clear reasoning. Key responsibilities: - Own the strategy and roadmap for data capabilities including embedded reporting, portfolio dashboards, data exports, and data sharing integrations - Get close to how lenders, owners, and general contractors use data to make decisions; translate that into sharp problem statements and requirements - Partner with data engineering on data models, pipelines, and data quality to ensure accuracy and timeliness - Drive shared metric definitions so figures like "percent complete" or "funds disbursed" mean the same thing across all products and customer workspaces - Work with product teams (CLA, CLA+, payments) to ensure data is captured well at the source - Shape the data powering Built's AI features, including the AI Draw Agent and lender portfolio risk tools - Track adoption and impact; use learnings to prioritize what to build next - Support sales and customer success with demos, conversations, and enablement on reporting and data features You'll work alongside data engineering, analytics, and product teams whose workflows generate and consume data. Success means publishing a data roadmap that leadership buys into, shipping at least one data feature with measurable adoption, establishing core reporting metrics with agreed definitions, and becoming the go-to partner for data across the business. Built's culture emphasizes being bold, helping customers win, moving with urgency and purpose, owning outcomes, and never being satisfied. The company expects you to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, quality, and speed of your work, and to identify opportunities to streamline workflows through automation. REQUIREMENTS: - 5–8 years of product management experience, with at least 2 years owning data, analytics, or reporting products in B2B SaaS - Strong SQL skills and comfort working directly in data; ability to answer your own questions and validate what engineering builds - Working knowledge of modern data stack concepts: data warehouses, ELT, dimensional modeling, and BI or embedded analytics tools (Sigma, Looker, Tableau) - Experience writing requirements for data work that data engineers can build against, including metric definitions, data contracts, and acceptance criteria - Track record of shipping data features and analytics capabilities that customers adopt - Ability to explain data concepts clearly to both bankers and engineers - Experience in financial services, lending, real estate, or construction is a strong plus Travel requirement: Employees not based in Nashville are required to travel to the Nashville office at least twice per year for company gatherings.
