Affirm is seeking a Staff Product Manager to build and own the consumer loyalty program from the ground up. This is a greenfield opportunity to design what customers earn, how they progress through tiers, and why Affirm becomes their default payment method. You will own the complete vision and roadmap for the loyalty program, including setting hypotheses, success metrics, and multi-quarter sequencing. Key responsibilities include: • Launching the first version of rewards and tiers, including earn mechanics, member benefits, redemption flows, and in-app surfaces that make value obvious at checkout and post-purchase. • Building engagement loops (progress indicators, milestones, personalized offers) that convert one-time borrowers into weekly Affirm users. • Owning program economics: reward liability, merchant-funded offer mix, interchange and network incentives, and the business case for incremental GMV against cost per member. • Establishing the measurement foundation for loyalty, including holdout groups, incrementality testing, and long-run LTV analysis. Tuning earn/burn rates and tier thresholds based on data. • Partnering cross-functionally with Risk, Credit, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Marketing to design compliant rewards with transparent disclosure and no hidden fees. • Aligning senior stakeholders and managing dependencies across Card, Shopping, Servicing, and Marketing teams. Leading embedded engineering and design pods through ambiguity. Affirm's Product team translates customer insights into scalable financial products, working closely with design, engineering, and analytics. The role emphasizes empathy, curiosity, and business acumen to prioritize features and improve user experiences. REQUIREMENTS: • 8+ years in Product Management with track record in consumer mobile apps, fintech, or neobanks. • Built or scaled a loyalty, rewards, or engagement program (card rewards, points, tiers, subscription benefits, or equivalent). Deep understanding of earn/burn mechanics and program unit economics. • History of launching products from scratch, not just optimizing existing ones. • Owned repeat usage, cohort retention, or share of wallet as primary metrics and know which levers move them. • Comfortable building financial models and defending reward cost, funding mix, and payback to Finance and leadership. • Strong UX instincts and high design bar. Understand the difference between a rewarding experience and buried features. • Deep fluency in experiment design, incrementality/attribution, and LTV measurement. Data skills (SQL/Amplitude-level self-serve) and bias for shipping, learning, and iterating quickly. • Track record shipping consumer financial or regulated products. Comfort partnering with Risk/Credit, Legal, and Compliance. • Excellent cross-functional leadership, including leading without authority. • Proficiency with AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) for research, analysis, prototyping, and product vision development. • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
