Abby Care is building an AI-native platform for family-led care, addressing America's growing care crisis by empowering over 50 million family caregivers with tools, training, and support. The platform combines clinical oversight with AI to help families deliver high-quality home-based care while providing health plans and government partners with transparency and verification capabilities.
As Staff Product Manager for Clinical Monitoring & Intervention, you will set the standard for how AI-powered features reach caregivers and clinicians across Abby's platform. You'll operate with high autonomy as a force multiplier, partnering closely with founder, clinical, and engineering leadership to redefine what's possible in home-based care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define evaluation standards and gates that clinical or caregiver-facing AI features must clear before production, establishing what "ready" means
- Own cross-surface AI consistency, ensuring caregiver and clinician products reason about the same patient identically, so signals captured on one surface are reflected in the other
- Set the bar for AI product development across the organization, partnering with other PMs to raise standards for AI-feature specs, evaluation criteria, and Applied AI collaboration
- Partner directly with Applied AI leadership on architecture for how caregiver and clinician AI systems are evaluated, monitored, and iterated post-launch
- Build evaluation frameworks that hold up against clinical scrutiny and payer/compliance review, ensuring products measured against clinician dispositions are rigorous enough to trust
Success means: AI features reaching production with documented shadow-mode evaluation against real dispositions; caregiver and clinician AI systems proven to reason consistently about the same patient with no contradicting baselines; other AI PMs treating your evaluation standard as the organizational bar.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of product management experience with proven track record leading complex, high-impact AI or ML product initiatives at Staff or Lead PM level in high-growth tech
- Direct experience designing evaluation frameworks for AI systems in production and deciding how AI features' real-world performance is measured, monitored, and gated before and after launch
- Strong technical acumen, particularly working with engineering and Applied ML/AI teams to build data-intensive or AI-driven platforms; ability to deeply evaluate technical trade-offs (coding not required)
- Deep empathy for users (family caregivers and care recipients) and rigorous approach to qualitative and quantitative research in regulated environments
- Thrives in fast-paced startup environments; adapts quickly, solves challenges creatively, delivers results without unnecessary complexity
- Exceptional communication ability to distill complex healthcare and technical concepts into clear, actionable product requirements and compelling strategic narratives for executives
Bonus/Nice-to-have:
- Experience in HealthTech, Medicaid waivers, or highly regulated industries where AI decisions carry compliance or clinical-safety weight
- Strong background with LLMs, machine learning, or AI-native consumer products
- Previous experience navigating marketplace or labor-supply business models (gig economy, digital health)
