Chexy is a Canadian fintech platform that transforms how people pay their largest bills—rent, mortgages, tuition, insurance—by enabling credit card payments with rewards like cashback and points. The company has billions in payments flowing through its platform and is backed by Khosla Ventures, Crossbeam Venture Partners, Venrex, Antler, and Air Canada.
You will own major product areas end-to-end, working directly with the Head of Product and founders. Your mandate spans strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for one or more core product areas. You'll take 0-to-1 bets from problem discovery through launch, then scale what works. Day-to-day, you'll run structured experiments (define hypotheses, instrument metrics, make data-driven calls), work in tight loops with engineering and design, and navigate the unique realities of Canadian payments: banking partners, compliance, risk, and rewards economics.
The role is generalist in nature—you operate at the intersection of strategy, data, and engineering, and are comfortable in ambiguity because problems rarely arrive well-defined. You'll own complex, cross-functional projects without losing momentum, with a bias to ship fast, learn, and iterate.
You'll raise the bar on product craft across the team and have direct access to founders and customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strategic mindset: find opportunities others miss, think in systems, distill messy use cases into elegant solutions
- Analytical: comfortable with grey areas, extract real insights from raw qualitative and quantitative data, write your own queries
- AI-forward and adaptable: use modern AI tools as core to your workflow, stay current on product management practice evolution
- Technically strong: real technical partner to engineering, can discuss architecture and tradeoffs, learn what you don't know
- Strong executor: have owned a product or major product chunk, led complex cross-functional projects, bias to ship
- Entrepreneurial: founder or early employee at high-growth startup (failed companies count—we care about reps), scrappy, willing to wear multiple hats
- Product taste: years of shipping products people love, strong eye for design, know what good looks like in consumer products
- Clear communication: take complicated things and make them simple without losing what matters
