Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company building the complete stack from energy generation through AI workload execution. The company operates data centers, cloud services, and AI compute platforms optimized for power efficiency and performance.
As Staff Product Manager for Storage, you will own the complete storage product roadmap across block volumes, file systems, and object storage that powers Crusoe's AI infrastructure. This is a customer-obsessed role requiring deep engagement with engineering teams and infrastructure customers to understand their storage needs, pain points, and growth trajectories.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting customer discovery and building relationships with infrastructure teams to understand storage requirements and translate feedback into product strategy
- Owning and prioritizing the storage roadmap, balancing customer requests, technical feasibility, and business impact
- Defining product strategy for customer-facing storage capabilities including tiering, versioning, backup/restore, and lifecycle management
- Leading cross-functional work with Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Software Engineering, and SRE teams to define technical specifications and execution timelines
- Communicating complex technical tradeoffs to company leadership through clear decision documents
- Tracking industry trends in cloud storage and identifying differentiation opportunities
- Supporting go-to-market efforts with sales and marketing to position storage capabilities
- Creating documentation to help customers maximize Crusoe's storage capabilities
You bring 5+ years of technical product management or product-minded engineering experience with a track record of owning outcomes at Staff or Group PM scope. You have deep understanding of cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), hands-on experience building and launching storage products, and proven ability to define ambiguous cross-functional initiatives with minimal guidance. Strong customer orientation, analytical mindset, and exceptional communication skills across engineering, finance, and executive stakeholders are essential. Direct technical experience with storage hardware, protocols, or file systems is required.
Bonus qualifications include familiarity with object storage access patterns, backup/replication/disaster recovery design, cloud storage economics and tiering strategy, and experience managing or mentoring other product managers.
