Traba is building an AI operating layer for the industrial supply chain, starting with contingent labor in manufacturing and logistics. The company has embedded itself deeply in customer operations and now is expanding into broader operational workflows. Backed by Founders Fund, Khosla Ventures, and General Catalyst, Traba is launching an agentic platform that synthesizes marketplace data and operates autonomously within customer supply chain workflows.
You will join as a founding member of the Agents team, reporting directly to the VP of Product. This is a true 0-to-1 product role at the frontier of applied AI. You'll embed deeply in customer operations to design and ship production agents that understand context, reason through ambiguity, make decisions, and execute work on behalf of users. You will work directly with founders, product engineers, ML teams, and early design partners to define workflows, shape product strategy, and build products as the underlying model ecosystem evolves.
Key responsibilities include: architecting and stewarding product strategy for Traba's AI agent platform; solving complex customer problems by balancing user needs, technical constraints, and evolving AI capabilities; writing detailed product requirements and partnering deeply with product engineers and ML teams; rapidly validating and prototyping ideas alongside customers and design partners; designing agent systems that reason through workflows, orchestrate tools, maintain context, and execute meaningful work; defining product behavior, evaluation systems, and quality frameworks; using data to uncover patterns and answer key product and system questions; evolving the AI product portfolio with deep understanding of model capabilities and system architecture; visualizing and communicating complex concepts from system behavior to user experiences and business impact; and socializing work across all levels and departments while synthesizing diverse stakeholder feedback.
The role requires someone who has launched customer-facing AI products where the system took meaningful actions on behalf of users—not just AI features, copilots, chat interfaces, or lightweight LLM integrations. You should be a 0-to-1 operator comfortable building products from scratch with real customers, finding product-market fit, and iterating toward signals. You must be an AI-native problem solver who moves quickly in environments where models evolve constantly and assumptions regularly break. A first-principles thinker who understands systems and constraints deeply, you should believe the best products are built shoulder-to-shoulder with customers and have experience deeply embedding with early customers and rapidly shipping based on direct feedback loops. You need technical depth to operate alongside ML engineers as peers, understand evaluations, reason through system tradeoffs, and participate deeply in technical conversations. Finally, you should have a builder mentality—inventive, scrappy, moving quickly, embracing ambiguity—and be deeply collaborative across engineering, ML, operations, design, leadership, and customers.
The position is based onsite in New York City or San Francisco, five days per week, supporting real-time decision-making, strong teamwork, and creative problem-solving.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7–10 years of experience as a Product Manager
- Evidence of launching products from scratch and driving meaningful customer outcomes
- Experience building AI-native products or customer-facing agent systems
- Strong technical abilities with the ability to work deeply with engineering and ML teams
- Ability to read evaluations, reason through system performance, and prototype ideas
- Experience operating in highly ambiguous startup environments with fast iteration cycles
- Deep familiarity with AI tools and hands-on experience building with modern AI systems
- Desire to work at a startup and cover an exceptionally wide surface area
- Strong work ethic and desire to build a category-defining company
