As Staff Product Manager for Agentic Payments, you will lead strategic, zero-to-one and scale initiatives across three core payment vectors:
**Agentic Commerce & Autonomous Payments Architecture**
Define machine-to-machine payment protocols and API/SDK primitives enabling AI agents to programmatically initiate, authorize, and verify transactions without manual friction. Integrate Airi (the company's one-click-checkout tool) into core payments by partnering with AI/ML engineering teams to deploy LLMs and predictive models for real-time routing, intent detection, dynamic risk scoring, and automated fraud defense. Architect fine-grained authentication, spend controls, and identity verification mechanisms tailored for autonomous software agents.
**Stablecoin Acceptance & Hybrid Settlement**
Architect robust stablecoin (USDC, USDT, etc.) payment acceptance rails enabling merchants to accept digital dollars globally with instant, low-cost clearing and automated conversion into local fiat currencies. Embed stablecoin payment flows natively alongside traditional payment methods within a single API integration. Collaborate with Treasury and Liquidity Risk teams to leverage stablecoins for instant cross-border merchant payouts and balance-sheet optimization.
**Scalability, Resilience & Industry Leadership**
Ensure underlying payment engines scale to handle massive transaction volumes with 99.999% uptime, strict fault tolerance, and near-zero latency. Represent Airwallex in global standards bodies, scheme working groups, and developer communities defining protocol specs for agentic commerce and crypto-fiat settlement.
You will work from the San Francisco office and tackle complex, high-visibility problems with exceptional teammates. The role requires strong role-related expertise, sharp thinking, founder-like energy, and the ability to move fast with good judgment while balancing speed and rigor.
**Requirements:**
- 8+ years of professional experience in Product Management, with significant exposure to high-growth, fast-paced fintech or tech environments
- Proven track record building and scaling core payment infrastructure, acquiring products, card scheme integrations, or blockchain/stablecoin payment systems
- Strong technical background with a Bachelor's degree or higher (preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Deep domain expertise with payment authorization flows, ISO 8583/20022 messaging, card scheme rules, or blockchain-based token standards (ERC-20, Solana SPL) and stablecoin architecture
- AI & agentic systems native: demonstrated understanding of LLMs, tool-use agents, multi-agent workflows, and how software agents interact with APIs to execute real-world economic actions; familiarity with agentic commerce and payment standards like x402, A2A, AP2, and UCP
- Technical mastery: exceptional capability to engage in deep architectural discussions with principal engineers, review API contracts, and evaluate transaction protocols
- First-principles thinking: ability to decompose highly complex, unstructured problems into clear, execution-focused product roadmaps
