As Senior Quantitative UX Researcher, you will be the go-to expert on measuring how people and businesses experience trust on Trustpilot's platform. You will own the quantitative research agenda for your product areas, set the bar for statistical rigor across the team, and partner with Data Science to build a shared measurement culture.
Key responsibilities include:
**Research Strategy & Execution**
- Design and own the quantitative research roadmap for assigned product areas, including attitudinal measurement, behavioral analysis, and longitudinal tracking.
- Lead large-scale surveys using validated scales, NPS derivatives, and trust-perception metrics.
- Conduct log-data and behavioral analytics including funnels, A/B tests, cohort and retention modeling.
- Build measurement frameworks that define success for review-reading, purchase-decision, and business-subscription journeys, tracking them over time.
**Quantitative Methods**
- Lead advanced quantitative research using surveys, behavioral analytics, experimentation, and predictive modeling with statistical rigor throughout the pipeline.
- Design validated instruments and build automated, auditable analysis pipelines using Python, R, or SQL.
- Pioneer AI-assisted techniques (e.g., LLM-assisted open-text analysis) where they genuinely improve work quality, evaluating AI tooling critically for validity and bias.
**Standards, Influence & Coaching**
- Partner with Data Science and Analytics teams on shared definitions and data pipelines.
- Hold the bar on study design and statistical rigor across the research team.
- Translate statistical findings into clear, decision-forcing narratives that drive action from product managers, designers, and engineers.
- Coach other researchers in quantitative methods, raising the team's statistical literacy through pairing and structured feedback.
**Requirements:**
- 4+ years of UX research experience with strong specialization in quantitative methods and complex, broad-scope work.
- Strong survey methodology expertise including instrument design, sampling, and psychometric validation.
- Solid statistical grounding in regression, factor/cluster analysis, and significance testing.
- Hands-on proficiency in Python, R, or SQL with direct experience working with large behavioral datasets (e.g., Amplitude, Looker, BigQuery).
- Proven track record of quantitative research that measurably shaped product or business decisions, including A/B testing methodology.
- Hands-on experience experimenting with AI tools in research workflows (e.g., LLM-assisted analysis, AI-assisted qualitative coding, or evaluating AI-powered research tooling) with critical perspective on validity and bias.
- AI-curious mindset with ability to speak critically about both AI's limitations and potential.
- Ability to collaborate fluently with qualitative researchers, data scientists, and product analysts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to present data-driven findings in engaging, accessible ways.
