Andela is a global talent marketplace connecting companies with top technical talent from over 135 countries, primarily in emerging markets across Africa and Latin America. The company operates at the intersection of staffing transformation and software development, both accelerated by AI.
You will own the Andela Talent Cloud (ATC) platform—the system that runs Andela's business. This is a full day-to-day ownership role with responsibility for prioritization, feature development, roadmap, metrics, and quality standards. The platform serves three user bases: clients, operations teams, and talent, and your decisions directly impact Andela's throughput and delivery quality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full platform ownership: prioritize across client, operational, and talent user needs; own the roadmap and feature development
- Fix immediate pain points: close feature gaps that force staff into workarounds; reduce day-to-day operational costs to free up resources for business acceleration
- Build product metrics and analytics: establish metrics and funnels to guide decisions and surface issues proactively
- Deep partnership with operations: the operations team uses ATC daily; strong stakeholder relationships are critical to understanding what drives Andela forward
- Maintain quality and communications: work with the engineering team to ship fast while maintaining a high quality bar; manage customer communications
- Guide AI integration: help Andela apply AI across engineering, product development, and user-facing features—delivering real value, not marketing claims
You'll work with a fast-moving engineering team and have a mandate to improve efficiency and reduce friction in how Andela operates.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of product management experience with a clear track record of owning a product and shipping measurable value
- Strong platform ownership experience in an operations-heavy company; experience at a company with at least $50M revenue is a strong signal
- AI-forward mindset: deeply curious about AI's trajectory in the industry; actively hands-on with modern AI tooling in your own workflow; able to follow and reason about the evolving AI landscape
- Initiative and follow-through: you see a problem, own it end-to-end, and drive it to completion without being managed
- Cross-functional leadership: strong relationship-building skills and ability to ask detailed, insightful questions that surface real requirements
- US West Coast working hours: at least 6 hours of daily overlap with US West Coast hours (8 AM–2 PM PT)
- Prior engineering experience is a plus
NICE TO HAVE:
- ATS, recruiting, or staffing-tech platform experience
- Assessment, training, or learning systems experience
- Hands-on experience with AI-native development tools (Claude Code, Claude Design) or agentic workflows
