CloudTalk, an AI-powered business calling platform trusted by 30,000+ professionals at companies like Nokia, Revolut, Glovo, and Uber, is seeking a Product Builder to own the full loop from problem discovery through shipped outcome.
In this role, you will close the gap between "someone should look at this" and "a squad has capacity." You own the entire path from problem to outcome—not just the spec or ticket, but the whole thing. You'll work in high-ambiguity spaces around the Core Platform Product, AI Voice Agents, Calling Apps, and product-led surfaces, tackling friction that no one owns, repeated support questions, and ideas too early for a squad to commit to but too valuable to drop.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Own the problem before it's written down: Find friction in support tickets, churn calls, and team gaps. Sharpen vague frustrations into falsifiable hypotheses with metrics. Conduct continuous discovery through weekly customer contact. Run multiple bets in parallel, then converge on the most promising.
2. Build and ship end-to-end: Prototype, build, test, ship to production, and instrument. Work across the stack and make your own design calls (PM and Designer support available). Ship small and early—imperfect software in front of five real customers this week beats perfect software in front of nobody next month. Maintain quality standards: write tests, think about failure modes, and know when a prototype must not become production. Build AI-native solutions, not AI-bolted-on.
3. Read results and decide: Instrument before shipping. Define what would prove you wrong before code goes out. Kill your own ideas without needing permission. Hand off deliberately when something works and needs to scale—transfer to the owning squad and walk away without accumulating personal production services.
4. Work AI-first: Use agentic workflows to compress the loop from idea to shipped. Understand which tool for which job and when the agent is confidently wrong. Build repeatable systems, not one-off prompts. Raise the floor by documenting patterns and sharing them so your leverage shows up in others' throughput.
5. Stay connected while working autonomously: Over-communicate what you're exploring, learning, and killing. Be commercially honest about what a bet is worth in ARR, retention, or cost terms. Be a good citizen of the roadmap—don't parachute into a squad's surface without talking to them.
Success in the first 90 days means: two or three validated experiments live with instrumented results and clear calls (scale, iterate, or kill); at least one killed idea with explanation; a visible, prioritized hypothesis backlog sourced from customer contact; one clean handoff to an owning squad; and a stated median loop time from hypothesis to customer-facing test measured in days.
CloudTalk is a ~200-person team backed by $35.3M in funding from KPN Ventures, Point Nine, and HenQ, operating in 160+ countries. The company values growth, innovation, teamwork, customer focus, and human connection.
Requirements:
- Personally taken something from "I noticed a thing" to "customers are using it in production" and can name the metric that moved
- AI-fluent builder who re-engineers how work happens with AI (Level 4 on CloudTalk's AI fluency ladder); ship things to production that would previously need a whole trio
- Comfortable killing your own work; can discuss a failed bet, its cost, what it taught you, and how fast you called it
- Discovery practitioner with continuous discovery experience (Teresa Torres sense); run enough interviews to know how leading questions poison research
- Ambiguity native with startup, founding, or scale-up background; worked without specs, designers, or clear success criteria; prefer it
- B2B SaaS realist who understands sales-assisted and PLG motions, ARR-driven models, and the difference between requested features and problems worth solving
Nice to have: voice, telephony, or real-time systems experience; founding or solo-technical-founder background; public trail of things you've built.
