As Staff Product Designer, you'll define and drive the product design vision for your area from concept through shipped product, partnering closely with product managers and engineers. You'll own end-to-end design across desktop web, mobile web, and native app experiences, translating complex financial workflows into approachable, intuitive interfaces.
Key responsibilities include: conducting user research and advocating for founder needs at every development stage; collaborating with product to scope requirements and build lean project plans that balance exploration with execution; leading design through critical engineering moments and ensuring smooth handoffs; partnering with the design system team to deliver cohesive, system-level solutions; and contributing to product strategy, roadmap, and customer validation.
You'll work on hard technical problems with real autonomy and direct customer impact, backed by Airwallex's proven fintech infrastructure and global distribution. The team is small, elite, and builder-focused, led by operators with a track record of shipping AI products at scale.
You bring 7+ years of UX/product design experience with demonstrated expertise across multiple platforms and channels. Your portfolio showcases complex systems, multi-channel journeys, and intricate object relationships. You're proficient in UX methods (research, IA, interaction design, testing) and think in systems. You communicate design rationale clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and have a proven track record leading projects end-to-end in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
