Fanatics is building a leading global digital sports platform serving over 100 million sports fans. The company operates across three core pillars: Fanatics Commerce (licensed fan gear, jerseys, lifestyle products), Fanatics Collectibles (physical and digital trading cards, memorabilia), and Fanatics Betting & Gaming (sportsbook and iGaming). With 22,000+ employees, 900+ sports properties as partners, and 2,000+ retail locations, Fanatics is reshaping how fans engage with sports. The Fanatics App is becoming the daily hub for sports fans—a unified surface where they buy, bet, collect, and play. The Shop pod owns the commerce experience within this app, responsible for how fans discover, browse, and purchase licensed gear and exclusive drops without leaving the app. As Staff Product Designer for Shop, you will lead design across the entire commerce journey: discovery and browse, merchandising and personalized recommendations, product detail pages, and the handoff into cart and checkout. This is a hands-on role where you'll set design direction, ship work yourself, and elevate the design bar across the team. Key responsibilities include: - Owning end-to-end Shop design across discovery, merchandising, product detail, and post-purchase moments - Leading multi-milestone design programs with ambiguity, driving them to business outcomes with minimal oversight - Building and evolving the Shop slice of the FanApp design system—patterns for product cards, merchandising modules, and recommendation surfaces that other pods adopt - Prototyping in the product environment itself (code/app, not just Figma), using AI tools to explore and validate behavior against real data and backend constraints - Setting design evaluation and validation standards for the pod - Mentoring designers on the Shop pod and adjacent teams in craft, ownership, and collaboration You'll partner closely with the Shop pod's Product Manager and Engineering Manager, sitting inside the pod rather than serving from a distance. You'll also work horizontally with other FanApp design staff and leads to keep Shop's patterns coherent with Home, Scores, Loyalty, and other app surfaces. Success means measurably growing conversion and repeat purchase, especially among Shop-led fans; having discovery and merchandising patterns adopted elsewhere in the app because they're good; reducing drop-off between discovery, product detail, and checkout; and raising the craft bar across the team.
