SoFi is a next-generation financial services company and national bank using mobile-first technology to help millions of members reach their financial goals. The Borrow design team is responsible for crafting seamless, intuitive experiences across all loan products, with a focus on helping people borrow money to achieve financial independence.
As a Staff Product Designer for Home Loans, you will lead the design vision for the home lending experience, specifically focusing on the application and origination journey for mortgages, refinancing, and home equity products. You'll work on both new feature development and improving existing experiences to serve SoFi members throughout their lending lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include: developing user-centered design solutions grounded in research and member insights; establishing and executing vision for team initiatives using design thinking processes; collaborating across product, engineering, and research to iterate and drive programs forward; creating system maps, user flows, prototypes, and detailed specifications; contributing to design system alignment and consistency; and scaling design best practices across the broader organization.
You will coordinate with designers across other product areas to maintain cohesive experiences and high visual standards throughout the SoFi ecosystem. This role requires strong craft fundamentals in interaction and visual design, with the ability to digest complex financial problems and create simple, usable, scalable solutions.
The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of product design/UX experience, strong cross-functional collaboration skills, expertise in design tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, and experience using design thinking methodologies. You should have a track record of defining product strategy with stakeholders, using metrics to inform design decisions, and leading teams toward unified outcomes.
