The Staff Product Designer, Growth role is a senior individual contributor position embedded within the Growth team, responsible for designing the product-led growth strategy. This is a high-impact role focused on customer acquisition, conversion optimization, and onboarding experiences. Key responsibilities include: - Defining roadmap and vision for growth design work; leading design initiatives - Owning design for funnel optimization, new user experience (NUX), and personalization in guided flows - Leveraging AI to create personalized customer experiences - Designing growth systems, experiments, and features by translating quantitative and qualitative insights into testable hypotheses - Creating seamless, delightful experiences for SMB users - Facilitating workshops and brainstorming sessions - Translating complex information into simple, beautiful user experiences from concept through high-fidelity delivery - Building cross-functional relationships with product, engineering, and data teams - Conducting and applying UX research independently; advocating for user needs - Challenging assumptions, sharing ideas confidently, and bringing design best practices to the team Required qualifications: - 7+ years of professional design experience - 4+ years on growth teams, e-commerce, or merchandising roles with demonstrated impact on conversion, basket price, and product adoption - Expertise in onboarding and merchandising surfaces; comfort with A/B testing and iterative experimentation - Strong UX research skills; ability to identify and conduct research independently - Thrives in complex, fast-paced environments; balances craft, critical thinking, and business needs - Understanding of behavioral psychology and user behavior patterns - Ability to connect work to broader team goals and communicate with leadership - Deep knowledge of design best practices and contemporary patterns - A-player mindset with bias for action, urgency, resilience, and ownership Preferred: B2B experience with SMB focus; behavioral science background. The role is hybrid, with offices in Denver, CO and San Francisco, CA.
