As Staff Product Designer for Design Systems, you will lead the evolution and adoption of Airwallex's design system across the organization. Your responsibilities include conducting comprehensive audits to identify use cases and UX patterns across digital products, creating reusable component and pattern definitions that support diverse use cases, and identifying inconsistencies in component usage and design deviations.
You will work collaboratively with product, design, and engineering teams to ensure alignment and adoption of consistent components and patterns. This includes partnering with developers on implementation and quality assurance, crafting detailed component and pattern usage guidelines, and establishing processes to guide appropriate usage and maintenance of the design system.
A key aspect of this role is championing the design system's value to internal stakeholders, advocating for adoption across the organization, and demonstrating its positive impact on user experience and efficiency. You will continuously enhance and adapt the system based on user feedback, industry best practices, and emerging design trends, serving as a thought leader in design systems practice within Airwallex.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7+ years of experience as a designer, with preferably 2+ years maintaining a design system
- Portfolio demonstrating deep understanding of product design, craftsmanship, and innovative solutions from conception to launch
- Strong UI design skills with proficiency in Figma
- Excellent methodical and critical thinking skills
- Bonus: content strategy and HTML/CSS knowledge
