As a Staff Product Designer, you will own a product area end-to-end, developing vision and strategy for where it's heading and delivering the work that gets us there. You'll define what good looks like for your part of the experience and maintain that standard from initial exploration through shipping.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead design strategy and roadmap contribution, owning all end-to-end design execution across your area
- Develop a compelling vision and north star for your product area that informs and influences the team's roadmap
- Own the complete design process: discovery, ideation, testing, visual design, and implementation
- Design with empathy for people under real financial pressure, bringing clarity and dignity to flows involving money and consequences, including error and recovery states
- Proactively identify customer needs and partner with cross-functional leads to influence prioritization
- Partner with product and analytics to structure experiments, define hypotheses, measure success, and gather learnings
- Facilitate alignment across cross-functional partners, stakeholders, and designers to ensure cohesive customer experience
- Conduct research that informs the roadmap and promote learnings across the organization
- Set the standard for high-quality craft through interaction design, prototyping, and visual design
- Build detailed prototypes with micro-interactions and moments of delight
- Contribute to the Design System (Ultraviolet), evolving patterns to scale a modern, polished experience
You'll work in a highly measured, cross-functional environment where most designs run as experiments before becoming default. The ideal candidate is highly creative with solutioning, curious about data, comfortable with constraints, and willing to adapt based on evidence.
