Zscaler is seeking a Staff Product Designer to lead end-to-end product design for complex enterprise cybersecurity workflows across its Zero Trust Exchange platform. This hybrid role (3 days on-site in San Jose) reports to the Senior Manager of Product Design and sits at the intersection of world-class design craft, systems thinking, and AI-native design practices.
You will own the full design lifecycle—from discovery and concepting through prototyping, validation, implementation, and iteration—for data-dense, highly technical, and configuration-heavy enterprise environments. You'll leverage AI-powered design and prototyping tools alongside Figma to accelerate ideation, exploration, and delivery. A key aspect of this role is translating concepts into working prototypes and implementation-ready solutions, including partnering with engineering to generate and refine front-end code using AI assistance.
You'll work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Content Design, Research, Data Science, and AI teams to define problems, align requirements, and deliver cohesive user experiences. You'll also evolve design systems, UX standards, and AI-native design practices while maintaining high standards for interaction design, visual design, accessibility, and research-informed decisions. The role includes mentoring and raising the bar for the design team.
