Teya is a Series C fintech company building a financial platform for local businesses across Europe. The company focuses on simplifying financial services for cafés, restaurants, salons, shops and entrepreneurs through thoughtful design and real human support.
As a Staff Product Designer, you will own end-to-end design for key product areas, from discovery and problem framing through UX/UI design, prototyping, and delivery. You'll work on complex, real-world problems faced by small and medium businesses, turning ambiguous requirements into clear, actionable flows and interfaces that balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own end-to-end design for key product areas, from discovery through shipped features
- Turn messy requirements into clear wireframes, flows and interfaces
- Simplify complex user journeys and internal processes
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Data and Operations to define problems and shape roadmaps
- Apply qualitative and quantitative insights (user interviews, usability testing, analytics, experiments) to inform design decisions
- Create well-structured design artifacts (user flows, wireframes, UI designs, prototypes, specs)
- Contribute to and evolve the design system and standards
You'll work in a fast-moving environment where you champion the user, push the quality bar higher, and influence strategy as much as execution. The role offers the opportunity to ship meaningful work that makes a tangible difference for merchants.
Teya offers flexible working hours, physical and mental health support (GymPass partnership with 1,500+ gyms in UK, 1-1 therapy, meditation), extended maternity/paternity leave, Cycle-to-Work Scheme, health and life insurance, pension scheme, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, office snacks, and a friendly, informal office environment in Central London.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years as a Product Designer / UX/UI Designer with end-to-end ownership of complex product work from discovery to shipped features, preferably in a Neo Bank or FinTech company
- Strong interaction and visual design skills with a portfolio demonstrating clear thinking, high-quality execution and measurable impact on product outcomes
- Proven experience simplifying complex user journeys and requirements into intuitive, easy-to-use experiences
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity; able to clarify goals, frame problems, propose options and move teams forward
- Experience working in cross-functional product teams with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate with engineers as a partner in trade-offs and delivery planning
- Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma) and familiarity with design systems
