Searchable is an analytics and agentic platform for AI Search, helping companies measure and optimize their visibility across SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) as AI search reshapes information discovery. The company is backed by top angels and VCs and operates five days per week from an office near London Bridge.
As Staff Product Designer, you will be the senior design voice shaping how customers understand and act on AI-search data. This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on UX excellence and design leadership through quality of thinking and execution, not management.
You will own product design end-to-end: from ambiguous problems and customer insights to shipped experiences. Key responsibilities include building deep understanding of SEO/AEO/GEO workflows and translating complexity into simple mental models; working directly with customers and go-to-market teams to identify unmet needs; partnering closely with product and engineering from sketches through implementation; designing information-rich workflows, dashboards, and agentic interactions; producing high-quality interaction and visual design with strong hierarchy and attention to detail; prototyping at the right fidelity to answer questions; evolving a pragmatic design system; using data and customer evidence to improve shipped work; and raising the design bar across the company through critique and collaboration.
Design here is a product function, not a hand-off. You will be expected to understand the system, challenge briefs, and make products simpler. Strong opinions loosely held are valued—you should explain your thinking, argue your corner, and change your mind when evidence points elsewhere. Craft matters; the interface is where customers decide whether to trust the product.
You bring significant experience designing complex B2B software with a portfolio demonstrating both thinking and shipped quality. Your strongest skill is UX: framing ambiguous problems, understanding user behavior, mapping complex systems, and turning evidence into coherent product direction. You are also a strong UI designer with excellent command of hierarchy, typography, interaction states, data visualization, and details that make dense products feel calm. You have led major product areas or zero-to-one initiatives as a senior IC, influence company-level decisions without formal authority, talk directly with customers, think in systems while resisting unnecessary complexity, collaborate deeply with engineers, and care about outcomes over ownership boundaries.
