Posh is a community-building platform that enables users to discover and create in-person communities based on shared interests. Founded by event organizers frustrated with the loneliness epidemic, Posh has grown to 8M+ users, $70M in venture funding, and facilitated over $350M in transactions in 6 years.
As Staff Product Designer, you will own an entire product domain—either the consumer or organizer side of the marketplace—and shape the future of Posh's experience. This is a high-leverage individual contributor role reporting to product leadership, with significant autonomy and influence across strategy, design, and execution.
Key responsibilities include: owning the quality, coherence, and strategy of your domain; partnering with Product, Engineering, Research, and Data to identify opportunities and influence the roadmap; leading zero-to-one initiatives from ambiguous starting points through exploration, validation, design, and launch; operating as a product leader with deep understanding of users, marketplace dynamics, business metrics, and technology; maintaining exceptional craft standards across interaction, systems, and visual design; creating clarity and conviction by navigating ambiguity and bringing teams along through compelling thinking and storytelling; and elevating design standards across Posh alongside the other Staff Product Designer.
You'll work in a deliberately small, exceptionally strong design team, which means enormous scope and autonomy balanced with staying deeply hands-on in Figma. The role requires someone who can shape strategy, create clarity from ambiguity, and personally execute at an exceptional level of craft.
Ideal candidates demonstrate: a portfolio showing exceptional product thinking, strategy, interaction design, and visual craft; a proven track record leading significant zero-to-one products from ambiguous starting points to meaningful outcomes; experience owning substantial product areas and influencing their strategy; exceptional product judgment and the ability to identify non-obvious opportunities; the ability to operate with extreme autonomy and create direction where little exists; strong systems thinking and visual/interaction design craft; and the ability to influence executives and senior partners through the quality of thinking, communication, and work. The company values demonstrated scope, autonomy, judgment, and impact over years of experience.
