As a Product Designer, you'll shape the Eight Sleep mobile app, driving the design of engaging, intuitive experiences that help users optimize their sleep and health. You'll work as a generalist, moving fluidly between information architecture, visual design, and interaction patterns. The role sits at the intersection of Design and Product, with significant ownership over the app experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end design and evolution of the Eight Sleep app, from information architecture and wireframes to high-fidelity mockups
- Conducting usability studies and user interviews to inform design work
- Using qualitative and quantitative data to make design decisions that improve app experience, reduce churn, and increase engagement
- Building and organizing UI components of the design library and system
- Collaborating with Product, Engineering, Brand, and R&D teams to deliver world-class experiences
- Serving as subject matter expert on app design patterns and mobile design trends
- Presenting design updates to C-suite leadership

Required qualifications:
- 4+ years of UX/UI design experience with a strong portfolio including live mobile examples
- Proven track record of shipping designs to public users with data demonstrating success or failure
- Ability to balance design vision with technical implications and engineering effort
- Experience coaching junior designers and collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers
- Obsession with simplicity and high aesthetic standards
- Strong independent thinking and ability to manage design end-to-end in ambiguous environments
- Ability to iterate quickly and present design work clearly to stakeholders
