Assured is modernizing insurance by transforming claims processing—currently a manual, costly process involving phone calls, faxes, and guesswork. The company provides large insurers with software solutions spanning self-service claim filing to ML-driven fraud detection, powering claims processing for some of the world's largest insurers.
You'll lead design foundations and systems at Assured, owning the evolution of the design system and creating the shared patterns, principles, tools, and infrastructure that enable teams across Design, Product, and Engineering to build high-quality experiences at scale. This role goes beyond component libraries to define how the entire product organization approaches design.
Key responsibilities include: owning and evolving the design system from fragmented patterns into a cohesive foundation; defining standards that make Assured experiences feel thoughtful and well-crafted; partnering across Brand, Product, and Engineering to connect brand expression with product implementation; creating tools and workflows that enable teams to build great experiences faster; exploring how AI and new tooling can accelerate design and iteration; and raising the bar for craft, consistency, and accessibility across products.
You'll need strong product design experience with meaningful work on design systems, platform experiences, or shared foundations. Exceptional attention to craft, strong interaction and visual design skills, and systems thinking are essential. You should have deep experience working with Engineering, enough technical fluency to understand how design systems become scalable infrastructure, and the ability to partner across Brand and Product. You're a natural leader who creates clarity and alignment without needing heavy structure—practical, hands-on, able to think long-term while shipping progress. Curiosity about AI and the future of design and product development is valued.
