As a Staff Product Designer on the Network team, you will own end-to-end design for acquisition, onboarding, activation, referrals, and network growth experiences. Your work will directly shape how millions of users discover Handshake, build professional relationships, and realize value from their first interaction onward.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with product, engineering, marketing, data science, and content teams to define problems and shape product strategy
- Own design end-to-end: user flows, interaction prototypes, high-fidelity mocks, and collaboration through implementation
- Design consumer experiences across the user lifecycle that drive discovery, engagement, and retention
- Translate behavioral insights and user needs into simple, intuitive experiences
- Rapidly iterate through wireframes, prototypes, and experiments to validate ideas and optimize conversion metrics
- Design and refine growth experiments including landing pages, onboarding flows, referral programs, and viral mechanics
- Maintain high standards for visual design, interaction design, and systems thinking while focusing on user outcomes
You bring 7+ years of product design experience building consumer-facing products at scale, ideally in social, marketplace, or network-driven environments. You have deep expertise in visual and interaction design with a proven track record of shipping high-quality experiences that drive measurable impact. You're experienced designing for growth across acquisition, onboarding, activation, and user lifecycle stages.
You're a strong communicator who articulates design decisions and user insights clearly to partners and leadership. You're comfortable using generative AI tools to accelerate ideation and prototyping while maintaining high product thinking standards. You leverage both qualitative and quantitative insights to inform decisions and iterate quickly. You're highly collaborative, design-led, impact-driven, and gritty—willing to roll up your sleeves and take ownership. You're deeply motivated by Handshake's mission to help people build meaningful careers in the AI economy.
