EarnIn is a fintech platform pioneering earned wage access, enabling users to access their earnings in real-time without mandatory fees, interest rates, or credit checks. You will lead the implementation of a comprehensive brand redesign and rebuild the design system from the ground up. This is a high-impact IC4 role where your work will directly set new standards for how EarnIn designs its products. You'll be responsible for creating a scalable design system, defining parameters, developing documentation, and enabling teams across the organization to build products and services more efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Evolving the visual design language and translating new designs with systems thinking
- Building component libraries and creating high-level pattern guidance for iOS, Android, and Web platforms
- Defining and documenting design patterns for reusability across the organization
- Guiding product designers on design system usage and extending patterns when necessary
- Leading education and adoption of the design system, establishing guidelines and implementation standards
- Building and maintaining AI tooling that converts system components into working code and prototypes
- Collaborating closely with engineering teams across all platforms and with the design team using the system daily
You'll need 7+ years of experience as a design systems or product designer, with proven expertise in creating design system architecture for digital products. Strong systems thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to partner with engineers to translate Figma designs into production code are essential. Experience with AI tools for Figma-to-code workflows, strong Figma craft (components, variants, auto layout, tokens), and knowledge of WCAG, Android, and iOS guidelines are required. Bonus skills include HTML, CSS, SVG, or Markdown experience.
