Inkitt is building an AI-native entertainment company that discovers stories and transforms them into blockbuster hits across multiple formats. Cinematica is their AI-native video studio that turns stories into high-quality cinematic videos, integrating the entire creative and technical production workflow from adaptation and shot generation to character consistency, music, editing, and quality evaluation. You will own the Cinematica roadmap end-to-end, deciding what gets built first, what gets cut, and what waits. Your core responsibilities include: • Own the complete Cinematica roadmap spanning adaptation, shot generation, character and style consistency, music, editing, and quality evaluation • Transform a production process dependent on individual judgment into a scalable platform for internal studio use and external storytellers • Define quality standards for Inkitt stories on screen and enforce them consistently • Build evaluation systems including rubrics, benchmarks, blind comparisons, and human review loops to make quality measurable and evidence-based • Own model and prompt strategy alongside engineering, design, analytics, and user research teams • Drive improvements through the entire product lifecycle: ideation, specification, development, release, analysis, and iteration • Execute tight iteration loops: ship, analyze viewer behavior, diagnose failures, feed insights back into the pipeline, measure impact • Partner closely with the Creative Director and AI-Video Production team to systematize craft judgment • Secure cross-functional buy-in on roadmap priorities and communicate hypotheses and results to stakeholders • Make quality legible as a measurable metric tied to retention and conversion The role operates under a distinctive philosophy: you generate feature ideas by researching competitors, industry, and users, maintaining a live Top 3 list of highest-impact ideas. You pitch ideas on a single slide with impact calculations. Features requiring over a week of engineering need a methodical business case demonstrating ROI. The founder rejects ideas that won't move the needle sufficiently. You own execution outright including release and A/B ramping. Four weeks post-launch, every feature is reviewed against your predicted impact. Performance is measured on how often you beat your own Top 3 and the realized impact of shipped work. This is not a role where a roadmap is handed to you; you set the sequence and decide what doesn't get built. REQUIREMENTS: • 6+ years of professional experience at a fast-growing tech company building creative prosumer/enterprise tools or AI-powered products (measured by years on the job, not PM title tenure) • Demonstrated track record owning a roadmap outright: you set the sequence, decided what didn't get built, and can explain the tradeoffs and rationale • Demonstrable taste in creative work: ability to articulate precisely why one piece of generated video is better than another and translate that judgment into a rubric others can apply independently • Proven track record owning quality of creative output at scale and building systems to measure it (benchmarks, human evaluation, blind comparisons, A/B testing); experience with generative AI, film/TV post-production, games, animation, or creative tooling preferred • Personal hands-on creation experience: you've shipped features, produced films, created reels, or completed side projects—be ready to walk through something you personally produced • Exceptional analytical skills with ability to quantify qualitative and quantitative data for product and strategic decisions; advanced SQL skills required • Self-starter who delivers results with limited supervision and thrives in fast-paced environments • Strong product intuition and UX design sensibilities with user-centric mindset • Willingness to roll up sleeves and go above and beyond • Ability to work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to determine first-class solutions • Must be located onsite in San Francisco Bay Area
