Thatch is a fully distributed early-stage healthtech company transforming how America approaches healthcare. This Product Engagement Manager role focuses on improving how the platform communicates with and engages members, employers, and brokers across their lifecycle.
You will own the end-to-end engagement experience, identifying friction points in user journeys and building solutions to help people move forward. This includes designing and optimizing lifecycle campaigns, messaging triggers, and personalization logic across email, SMS/RCS, transactional messaging, and in-product experiences. You'll work hands-on with Braze to build and test engagement journeys, using data to form hypotheses and measure impact.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing where users get stuck and understanding root causes
- Building and testing engagement improvements across multiple channels (email, SMS/RCS, transactional, in-product)
- Owning messaging logic: targeting, triggers, sequencing, frequency, and personalization
- Developing new engagement capabilities (two-way messaging, RCS, language preferences)
- Collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Data teams when solutions require product changes
- Measuring results and using learnings to prioritize what to build next
You'll have significant autonomy and ownership to move quickly, with direct access to data and tools. The role sits at the intersection of marketing operations, product thinking, and data analysis.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years in growth, product engagement, lifecycle/CRM, or similar role
- Proven track record owning engagement or conversion metrics with shipped initiatives that moved them
- Hands-on proficiency with Braze or similar platform; able to build and test journeys independently
- Comfortable using data to identify problems, form hypotheses, and measure solution effectiveness
- Product-minded: able to discern when messaging solves a problem versus when product changes are needed
EXPERIENCE THAT STANDS OUT:
- Experience across multiple engagement surfaces beyond email
- SQL or analytics tool proficiency for self-service analysis
- Work on complex customer journeys or multi-audience products
- Background in healthcare, benefits, fintech, or regulated industries
- Familiarity with AI as a working tool
