project44 is hiring a Staff Platform Product Manager to own the technical and user experience foundation of Movement, the Decision Intelligence Platform that powers their supply chain visibility and AI capabilities. Movement serves as the shared platform underneath all project44 products—visibility, analytics, AI agents, and growing modules like Appointment Manager, Yard, and Last Mile.
In this role, you'll sit at the intersection of Product, Design, Engineering, and Security, owning both the technical platform primitives and the user experience built on top of them. You'll be the connective tissue ensuring Movement feels like one coherent product rather than a collection of features.
Key responsibilities include:
**Movement UX & Platform Evolution**: Own the product vision for Movement's core experience, including the Overview dashboard, navigation, and shared UI patterns. Partner directly with Product Design on UX vision and prototypes, translating design principles into a sequenced roadmap. Arbitrate platform-level UX trade-offs across pillar teams to prevent fragmentation as more products migrate onto the platform. Own the web, responsive, and mobile app strategy—deciding what belongs on web versus mobile and driving implementation with Design and Engineering.
**Identity & Access Management**: Own the roadmap for Movement's IAM layer, including tenant and user permissioning, Access Groups, role definitions, and the unified authorization model. Define and prioritize new permission models (e.g., restricted-visibility roles for security-sensitive customers) in partnership with Engineering and Security. Serve as the product point of contact for IAM scoping on new acquisitions and partner integrations.
**Shared Platform Capabilities**: Own the product roadmap for Collaborative Visibility—how shippers, carriers, and partners share shipment data across tenant boundaries. Own Search as a platform capability, ensuring a consistent and performant way to find shipments, orders, locations, and documents across every module on Movement.
You'll partner closely with pillar PMs who own individual modes and modules while owning the platform primitives they all build on. This is a deliberately dual-track role requiring deep technical partnership with Engineering on underlying capabilities and close collaboration with Product Design on the experience layer.
project44 is headquartered in Chicago with a second HQ in Bengaluru, India. The company expects all team members to actively leverage AI in their day-to-day work, developing AI fluency as a competitive advantage. The role requires in-office commitment four days per week at their Chicago headquarters.
