True Anomaly builds autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors for U.S. and Allied space superiority. As Staff Platform Engineer, Security, you'll own cloud security infrastructure protecting mission-critical space domain awareness and satellite operations systems. You'll be a hands-on technical leader writing production code daily, designing and implementing security controls across multi-cloud environments (Azure and AWS). Your responsibilities include building security tooling and automation that enables engineering teams to ship safely; implementing secure-by-default cloud infrastructure (IAM, network architecture, encryption, monitoring); operating and maintaining PKI infrastructure including private CA hierarchies and certificate lifecycle management; and operating HashiCorp Vault as the central secrets management platform with Vault PKI engine, dynamic secrets, and policy management. You'll partner with the Kubernetes Security Engineer on unified PKI infrastructure across cloud and container environments, design and troubleshoot multi-account and multi-VPC network topologies, and provide technical input on cloud security architecture decisions. This is a strategic individual contributor role where you guide architecture decisions and mentor other engineers while maintaining hands-on ownership of security projects from design through implementation. Strong Azure security expertise is highly valued; deep AWS knowledge will be increasingly critical as cloud footprint evolves. You'll work in an AI-native environment where leveraging AI to accelerate impact is expected. The role requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. This position offers the opportunity to directly impact national security infrastructure and work alongside a talented team building asymmetric advantages in space domain awareness.
