Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff PCB Design Engineer to lead the design and development of printed circuit boards for advanced defense technology systems. In this role, you will work directly with cross-functional engineering teams to produce high-reliability, highly manufacturable PCB designs that support Anduril's AI-powered military systems and autonomous platforms.
Key responsibilities include designing complex printed circuit boards incorporating high-speed digital, precision analog, RF, and high-power components. You will establish and lead internal guidelines for design for manufacturing (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and quality standards across the organization. You'll develop and refine team processes for PCB design, component library management, and database standards, ensuring consistency and efficiency across projects.
You will coordinate with external PCB design resources during design surges and manage communication with multiple fabrication and assembly partners to ensure boards are built to specification. This is a fast-paced role requiring the ability to juggle multiple concurrent projects and customers while maintaining the highest technical standards.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, plus 6+ years of professional PCB design experience. You must have expertise in IPC standards (CID/CID+ certification), PCB fabrication processes, and design rules. Proficiency with Altium Designer is essential, with Allegro experience a plus. You should have hands-on experience with high-density boards, high layer count designs (16+), power electronics, flex circuits, RF circuits, HDI technology, and high-speed digital interfaces (USB, PCIe, Ethernet, SERDES, DDR). Excellent communication skills with fabrication and assembly partners are critical. U.S. Secret security clearance eligibility is required.
