Onebrief builds AI-powered collaboration and workflow software for military planning and operational coordination. This Staff Outcome Designer role is responsible for building the platform systems that enable the design team to ship at scale alongside AI agents.
Your primary focus is architecting and building an agentic design system platform—including components, patterns, documentation, and utilities (MCPs, skills, plugins) that Product Designers and Design Engineers rely on daily. You'll also build intake and automated evaluation systems to triage design requests, implement release QA automation to catch quality issues before shipping, and create production telemetry that feeds performance data back into the platform to drive continuous improvement.
Beyond platform work, you'll lead moonshot projects exploring the future of agentic customer experiences, drawing on cutting-edge technology from private and defense sectors. This role deliberately crosses traditional design boundaries; you'll pull in Product Designers, Design Engineers, or anyone else needed without fixed technical/product splits.
Key responsibilities include: architecting the agentic design system platform with automated documentation and governance; building production/release infrastructure (automated pipelines, intake/evaluation, QA automation, telemetry); making deliberate calls on where human review gates belong versus automation; working within Onebrief's deployment stack (Docker, EKS/Kubernetes on AWS, GitHub CI/CD); and providing strategic input to leadership on design roadmap initiatives.
This is a high-agency, ambiguous-problem role with no existing playbook. You're writing it from scratch. Success means shipping a working agentic design platform in use by the team, deploying at least one production-support system that measurably reduces manual work, and establishing governance processes that catch quality issues early.
