Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company that owns and operates the full stack—from electrons to tokens—to power large-scale AI workloads. The company is solving the energy bottleneck in AI compute through an energy-first approach. The Staff Integrated Capacity Planner owns the integrated planning system that translates long-range strategy into committed, buildable, fundable plans. This is a single pane of glass role that operates at the intersection of all Crusoe products, services, and physical infrastructure. You will run the end-to-end planning rhythm across every resource class: GPU and accelerated AI fabrics, compute, storage (File, Object, and Block), network, and data center power and space. Key responsibilities include: - Long-Range Capacity Planning: Own the multi-year outlook across GPU, compute, storage, network, and power/site energization schedules. Build scenario models for demand cases, technology transitions, and refresh/decommission waves to inform capital allocation and site selection. - Integrated Business Planning: Run the IBP/S&OP cycle end-to-end—demand review, supply review, reconciliation, and executive decision forums. Maintain both unconstrained demand signals and constrained committed plans. - Constraints & Bottleneck Planning: Maintain a live model of binding constraints (silicon allocation, supplier lead times, power energization, rack/network availability, deployment labor). Quantify impact and drive mitigation to decision. - Allocation & Arbitration: Own the framework for prioritizing demand against constrained supply—prioritization rules, trade-off analysis, and escalation paths to leadership. - Plan of Record & Operating Calendar: Design and run the planning calendar synchronizing Cloud Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Center Operations, Product, and Finance. Govern commitment time fences and re-plan triggers. - Demand & Bookings Translation: Convert contracted commitments, backlog, and ramp schedules into resource-level forecasts with attach ratios linking GPU capacity to storage, network, and compute. Manage forecast accuracy as an owned metric. - Supply Chain Integration: Translate plans into supplier commitments and purchase timing, navigating global lead times and allocation constraints. - Financial Integration: Interface with Finance and Product to drive demand capex/opex forecasts, own linkage to unit economics and utilization targets, and explain plan-vs-actuals variances. You will not own any single resource domain; you own the system that reconciles all of them and makes the calls when supply is short. You will partner directly with Finance and be the person leadership turns to when constraints, slips, or demand surprises force a re-plan. This role is uniquely positioned to maximize fleet utilization with company-wide impact. REQUIREMENTS: - 8+ years in infrastructure capacity planning, IBP/S&OP, supply and demand planning, systems engineering, or technical program management, including end-to-end ownership of a recurring planning cycle. - Technical fluency across compute, storage (File, Object, and Block), network, and accelerated computing, plus power, space, and cooling constraints. Deep expertise in one domain is not required; ability to hold your own with domain experts is. - Practical experience with lead times, supplier allocation, buffer strategy, and converting plans into committed purchase orders and delivered hardware. - Comfort operating in capex and opex terms; ability to build demand-driven capital forecasts and defend numbers in front of Finance and leadership. - Expert-level Excel or Google Sheets modeling. Build models others can inherit, audit, and run without you—clear structure, documented assumptions, versioned, and trustworthy quarters after creation. - Planning experience inside high-growth public cloud environments or massively distributed systems where plans change frequently. - Exceptional influence and communication skills: structured narrative delivery, crisp documentation, and executive-grade presentations. Ability to run a planning cycle spanning five organizations without managing any of them. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Data Science, or equivalent technical field. BONUS: - Experience standing up an S&OP or integrated business planning function from scratch. - Experience building or defining foundational product requirements for custom in-house planning, provisioning, or capacity modeling software. - Hands-on quantitative modeling skill—SQL, Python, or optimization/simulation methods applied to constrained allocation problems. - Direct experience planning GPU clusters and accelerated AI computing fabrics at scale.
