CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join its finance team in Austin, TX (with flexibility to work from Broomfield, CO or El Segundo, CA offices). The role is responsible for developing and maintaining proposal costing models, creating financial forecasts, tracking cost and schedule performance across projects and programs, and performing variance analysis for executive reporting.
In this position, you will support CesiumAstro's hyper-growth phase by providing financial insights that inform strategic decision-making. Key responsibilities include building and refining financial models for proposals, forecasting revenue and expenses, monitoring project profitability and schedule adherence, and analyzing variances to identify trends and risks. You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, sales, and program management teams to ensure financial accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
The ideal candidate brings strong financial modeling expertise, experience in proposal costing and project accounting, and the ability to work autonomously while contributing to a dynamic startup environment. You should be comfortable with complex spreadsheet work, data analysis, and communicating financial insights to non-financial stakeholders. Experience in aerospace, defense, or hardware manufacturing is a plus.
