Shield AI is seeking a Staff Advanced Industrial Engineer to design, optimize, and scale manufacturing systems for advanced aerospace products. This is a high-impact individual contributor role responsible for transforming manufacturing concepts into production-ready factories.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead factory and production system design, including facility layouts, material flow optimization, line balancing, capacity planning, and production readiness
- Plan and execute greenfield manufacturing facilities, developing factory concepts from the ground up
- Design production layouts, infrastructure requirements, equipment planning, and material flow strategies
- Establish manufacturing standards and best practices
- Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Facilities, Quality, EHS, and Program Management to develop efficient, scalable, data-driven manufacturing solutions
- Drive rapid production growth while maintaining safety, quality, throughput, and operational excellence
