TRM Labs is seeking a Staff Brand Designer to set the visual craft standard across the organization. This is a senior individual-contributor role focused on high-visibility brand design work spanning campaigns, web, social, events, sales and marketing collateral, and thought-leadership reports.
You will own the most complex brand design projects end-to-end, from brief through delivery, while maintaining consistently high craft standards. Key responsibilities include defining and evolving TRM's creative direction across typography, imagery, layout, and color; translating complex, data-heavy subject matter (blockchain intelligence, investigations, risk) into compelling infographics and data visualizations for both technical and non-technical audiences; building and stewarding brand systems and documentation that scale without losing soul; and commissioning and art-directing external creatives including agencies, illustrators, and motion designers.
You will lead through the work and design direction rather than direct management, mentoring other designers through critique, pairing, and feedback to raise craft standards across the team. The role involves advancing TRM's AI-native design practice—bringing generative AI tools into concepting, iteration, and production while ensuring human taste and judgment remain the driver. You'll collaborate closely with brand strategists, copywriters, product marketing, and leadership on how TRM shows up across every channel.
Required experience includes 6–8+ years of brand design in high-craft environments (agency, editorial, elevated consumer, or design-forward tech). You must demonstrate mastery of typography, layout, color, and composition; fluency in brand systems and scaling; proven ability to make complex information clear and compelling; and experience operating at a staff level with autonomy and influence. Deep proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) across digital and print is essential, along with digital and web design experience including component libraries and developer collaboration. An AI-first mindset with hands-on experience integrating generative AI tools into real creative work is required.
