7AI is building an Agentic Security Platform—an operating system for security operations centers (SOCs) where AI agents investigate and triage security alerts, freeing security teams to focus on work requiring human judgment. The company is expanding its in-house design team and seeking a Senior Visual Designer to lead the visual direction of the product.
In this role, you will own and evolve the visual language of 7AI's platform, focusing on clean, legible interfaces for technical, data-heavy surfaces. You'll think in systems, collaborating with the team to develop high-fidelity patterns that serve as reusable building blocks across dashboards and complex workflows. Your responsibilities include transforming UX flows and low-fidelity concepts into polished, production-ready components with complete asset specifications for pixel-perfect implementation. You'll partner closely with Product and Engineering to ensure interfaces achieve real visual fidelity, drive consistency across the design system through auditing and documentation, and mentor other designers by raising the bar on craft and providing constructive feedback on visual skills.
The role demands expertise in typography, color, layout, iconography, and data visualization—the visual layer that ties the entire system together. You'll be responsible for maintaining rigor and consistency while pushing the team toward a unified visual standard.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years of experience in visual design, UI design, or product design with strong visual focus
- Portfolio demonstrating depth in typography, layout, color, hierarchy, and data visualization (not just interaction design)
- Experience designing for complex, data-rich products
- Experience building or leading contributions to a design system with visual focus
- High proficiency in Figma
- Sharp attention to detail—spacing, alignment, and polish are priorities
- Ability to give direction and feedback to other designers on visual craft
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-ownership startup environment
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience designing for security, infrastructure, or other technical B2B products
- Familiarity with AI-assisted design tooling as part of regular workflow
