Salary: USD 110,000 - 125,000 / annual
Prenuvo is transforming healthcare from reactive sick-care to proactive health care through award-winning whole-body MRI scans combined with AI and a patient-centric experience. You will be hired as a Qualitative UX Researcher to establish and lead generative discovery across the entire Prenuvo patient journey—from initial commitment through scan day, results, and return.
You will own end-to-end qualitative research: designing and moderating interviews and contextual studies, synthesizing findings into actionable artifacts (personas, opportunity maps, decision frameworks), and ensuring insights drive product and design decisions early in the roadmap. You will build discovery as a repeatable practice by establishing research cadence, developing recruitment channels, creating a reusable qualitative toolkit, and partnering closely with Design, Product, and clinic stakeholders. A key part of your role is understanding patient goals, barriers, and mental models—especially around sensitive health decisions—and translating that into experience improvements the team can test quickly.
You will also protect trust in high-stakes research by ensuring studies respect HIPAA, IRB compliance, participant privacy, and emotional load in a healthcare context. You'll propose practical norms for using AI in interview work (synthesis, recruitment support) without compromising rigor or privacy. You will partner with the quantitative research team to ensure behavioral patterns from data are explained by generative work, and open questions become sharper hypotheses for measurement. Success means insight that changes what the team builds, not only polish after the fact.
The role is fully remote but preference is given to candidates physically located near an existing Prenuvo clinic. This role does not provide visa sponsorship; applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at hire and must not require employer sponsorship.
**Requirements:**
- 2+ years of hands-on qualitative or UX research in a product, service, or applied research setting
- End-to-end ownership of generative studies: planning, recruitment, moderation, synthesis, and storytelling
- Experience building or testing recruitment and outreach channels
- Evidence of improving how a team does research (cadence, guides, recruitment, or a light repository) while working cross-functionally, not only executing assigned studies
**Nice to have:**
- Patient, caregiver, or clinician research in HIPAA-aware settings
- Practical familiarity with IRB or similar review when research touches regulated processes
- Prior work on how people understand health goals or clinical results
