NovoEd is a talent development platform founded at Stanford in 2012 that empowers organizations to design and deliver experiential learning at scale. The platform is used by Fortune 500 companies, universities, and training organizations to develop high-value capabilities through purposeful practice, coaching, mentorship, and group collaboration.
As a Senior UX Designer, you will independently lead design initiatives from exploration through implementation, serving as a key strategic partner in shaping the product's future. You'll own 1-2 major projects at any time, working closely with product management and engineering teams to solve complex problems in the online learning space.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing scalable, collaborative, and social online learning experiences
- Leading design from problem exploration through final implementation
- Partnering with product management to frame problems and define scope
- Conducting user research and usability testing to validate decisions
- Providing production-ready mocks and working closely with engineers
- Contributing to product strategy and roadmap discussions
- Proactively aligning stakeholders and adjusting scope as needed
You'll need 5+ years of experience designing products at scale, with proven ability to solve complex real-world problems. Required skills include proficiency with Figma (components, design libraries), wireframing, prototyping, user research, and usability testing. You should have strong visual design skills, understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1), experience with responsive web/mobile design, and familiarity with HTML/CSS constraints. Experience with AI-powered features and GenAI tools is a plus.
The ideal candidate demonstrates independent ownership, can navigate ambiguity, manages stakeholder relationships, and excels at collaborative leadership. You balance data-driven decisions with user-centered intuition and communicate complex ideas clearly.
