Zapier is seeking a Senior Technical Account Manager to support Enterprise customers post-sale. You'll serve as a named senior technical partner to builders, technical leaders, and executives, helping them transform business problems into reliable, well-designed automations. You'll join a team of four Sr TAMs reporting to a Senior Manager, with customer portfolios varying by program, account size, technical complexity, and engagement level. Each customer receives approximately six dedicated TAM hours monthly, which you'll allocate across architecture, hands-on building, technical enablement, and proactive account planning. Key responsibilities include designing automation architectures, building and improving workflows, solving complex technical problems, and strengthening the resilience of customer automation systems. You'll partner closely with Customer Success to connect technical work to adoption, customer value, retention, and growth. You'll also represent customers internally, providing Product and Engineering with clear insight into product gaps, critical bugs, and opportunities to improve the Enterprise experience. You'll design, build, and improve customer automations by translating complex processes into practical workflow architectures covering data movement, business logic, exception paths, and operational controls. You'll build alongside customer teams to move high-value use cases from concept to reliable production operation, review existing automations for reliability and efficiency, and troubleshoot issues across Zapier, APIs, authentication, data formats, and connected applications. You'll lead proactive technical partnerships by developing strong understanding of each customer's priorities, systems, technical constraints, governance needs, and automation maturity. You'll create technical account plans identifying valuable use cases, architectural recommendations, risks, and next steps, and lead working sessions, architecture reviews, implementation discussions, and executive conversations. You'll drive customer and team outcomes through internal partnership, partnering closely with Customer Success to connect technical priorities to adoption and growth. You'll surface blockers and architectural risks early, taking ownership of moving the right people toward solutions. You'll proactively identify and lead team or cross-functional initiatives, turning recurring needs into scalable solutions. As AI becomes central to automation design, you'll help customers make sound AI decisions, moving beyond surface-level terminology to make responsible implementation choices. You'll use AI tools in your own work with appropriate review and judgment, understand meaningful differences among AI models, explain deterministic automation versus AI-assisted workflows versus agentic systems, and guide practical conversations about accuracy, reliability, evaluation, fallback behavior, human oversight, security, and governance.
