Factory is seeking a Mid-Market Solutions Engineer to own the technical customer journey from pre-contract evaluation through adoption and expansion. You will partner with customer engineering teams to solve technical challenges, guide them through pilots and onboarding, and help them realize value from Factory's platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Guiding customers from evaluation through pilot, onboarding, conversion, and continued adoption
- Running technical training and enablement sessions for developer teams
- Investigating and resolving technical issues across customer environments, repositories, integrations, and workflows
- Collaborating with engineering when deeper support is needed
- Identifying recurring friction points and building scalable processes and resources
- Translating product usage data and customer feedback into actionable insights for product and engineering teams
You will need a strong software engineering foundation with 2-3 years of professional experience in software engineering, solutions engineering, technical consulting, implementation, or a similar customer-facing technical role. You should have deep understanding of software development fundamentals including source control, development environments, debugging, testing, and modern engineering workflows. The ability to read and troubleshoot code across different languages and frameworks is essential.
Success in this role means customers complete onboarding quickly and confidently, pilots have clear technical goals with measurable success criteria, technical blockers are identified and resolved efficiently, and customer feedback drives scalable product improvements.
This is a full-time, in-office position in San Francisco (5 days/week, walking distance to Caltrain).
