OpenAI's Capital Markets team is seeking a Senior Structured Finance Execution Lead to drive complex financing processes for the company's expanding global AI infrastructure platform. This is a hands-on senior role focused on translating broad capital-raising objectives into executable transaction processes. You will lead large, complex financings from initial structuring through diligence, negotiation, documentation, and closing. Key responsibilities include translating capital-raising objectives into executable financing plans and timelines; managing lenders, investors, advisors, counsel, and internal stakeholders across high-stakes transactions; providing oversight on financial structuring, modeling, diligence, risk allocation, and documentation; and making clear recommendations on financing strategy, counterparty selection, and process design. This role operates in a small, high-impact team without a large analyst bench, requiring you to stay close to execution details while helping build repeatable internal processes for a scaling financing function. You will coach and develop junior transaction professionals and operate effectively in a low-hierarchy, high-ambiguity environment. Ideal candidates bring 8-15 years of experience executing structured finance, project finance, infrastructure finance, or other capital-intensive transactions. You should have personally led multiple complex or large-scale financings through close and have experience across the full transaction lifecycle. Bank training followed by successful moves into in-house, principal, developer, infrastructure investment, or specialist advisory roles is preferred. Exposure to data centers, digital infrastructure, power, energy, or similarly capital-intensive sectors is valuable. Experience building financing processes or functions and a track record of managing or developing junior professionals is important. Willingness to relocate to or work consistently from San Francisco is required.
