Salary: USD 100,000 - 500,000 / annual
Tenstorrent is a leading AI and RISC-V compute hardware company building cutting-edge semiconductor solutions. The Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager, Engineering Infrastructure leads procurement strategy for the design ecosystem, owning vendor negotiations, IP licensing agreements, and tool sourcing that enable worldwide engineering teams to innovate at speed.
In this role, you will take ownership of complex, multidimensional deals, operate independently with minimal oversight, and command credibility with vendor executives, internal stakeholders, and the C-suite. You will manage the complete procurement lifecycle for design tools, third-party IP, and semiconductor components critical to the company's competitive advantage.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing procurement strategy for the engineering infrastructure ecosystem
- Leading complex contract negotiations with Tier 1 vendors and emerging design tool innovators
- Managing IP licensing agreements and tool sourcing to support global design centers
- Building trust-based vendor relationships to unlock better terms, faster delivery, and innovative solutions
- Managing multiple concurrent deals while maintaining executive visibility and cross-functional alignment
- Translating technical requirements into vendor recommendations and presenting strategic sourcing insights to leadership
- Implementing sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, and innovation
You will gain deep exposure to the complete semiconductor design-to-production workflow, understand how engineering infrastructure decisions impact product competitiveness and time-to-market, and learn the business strategy behind a high-growth AI chip company scaling globally.
The role is hybrid or remote, based out of Santa Clara, CA; Austin, TX; or Toronto, ON.
**Requirements:**
- 5+ years of experience sourcing complex technology (IP, design tools, or semiconductor components) in fast-paced environments
- Deep procurement expertise in semiconductor design ecosystems—specifically 3rd party IP licensing, EDA/CAD tools, or equivalent technology sourcing experience
- Proven ability to lead complex contract negotiations, drive toward closure, and implement sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, and innovation
- Strong analytical and communication skills to translate technical requirements into vendor recommendations
- Ability to build trust-based vendor relationships and leverage them strategically
- Detail-oriented operator who thrives managing multiple concurrent deals
