The Sr. Sourcing Manager, New Product Introduction will own end-to-end sourcing workstreams enabling Pendulum's innovation pipeline from concept through commercial launch, serving as the primary sourcing partner to the Product team. This role requires establishing sourcing roadmaps, owning raw material strategy, and driving supplier and raw material readiness across probiotics, active ingredients, excipients, flavors, and emerging categories.
Key responsibilities include: translating product concepts and technical requirements into executable sourcing strategies; partnering with Product to establish achievable sourcing milestones and proactively resolving risks; owning sourcing strategies and commercial relationships across Pendulum's raw material portfolio; building supplier networks supporting innovation, cost competitiveness, and supply continuity; leading supplier identification, selection, qualification, and commercial readiness; conducting supplier negotiations on pricing, contracts, terms, capacity, and forecasts; developing second sources and new supplier relationships; establishing supplier performance expectations; and serving as sourcing subject-matter expert throughout product commercialization.
The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of strategic sourcing, supplier management, raw materials, or new product introduction experience in manufacturing environments, preferably within nutraceuticals, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, cosmetics, or regulated industries. Required skills include strong project management, analytical capabilities (spend analysis, should-cost modeling, pricing analysis), advanced ERP proficiency (NetSuite), and Excel/Google Sheets expertise. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field required. Success means becoming a trusted sourcing partner who independently drives NPI activities with clearly defined milestones, risks, and supplier readiness.
