Addepar is a global data and AI platform serving investment professionals, managing nearly $9 trillion in assets across 1,400+ firms in 60 countries. The Investor Solutions team is expanding and seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Navigator product line—a quantitative liquidity risk projection tool acquired in 2021 that has scaled well beyond initial targets.
In this role, you'll collaborate cross-functionally with product owners, designers, GTM teams, program managers, and engineering colleagues to deliver solutions for institutional investors. You'll work on both the Navigator application and broader Addepar ecosystem products, building AI-first tools and workflows that integrate across multiple product areas. The position offers opportunities to extend scope as the product expands globally.
Key responsibilities include conceiving and delivering novel solutions in a sophisticated financial domain, building web applications that bridge shared client concerns across product areas, and maintaining an investor-focused viewpoint throughout development.
Required qualifications: extensive professional software engineering experience building web applications; proficiency in Python and common libraries; strong knowledge of HTTP, REST, and web API best practices; hands-on experience with AWS or equivalent cloud platforms; database and data lake experience (SQL, NoSQL, Databricks); React, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS expertise; experience with AI agentic coding; strong ownership mentality and analytical problem-solving abilities; comfort collaborating with product management on complex features; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Java backend experience is a plus. Candidates must have the right to work in the United Kingdom from day one; visa sponsorship is not available.
