Addepar is a global data and AI platform serving over 1,400 investment firms managing nearly $9 trillion in assets. The company unifies portfolio, market, and client data to deliver AI-powered insights within investment workflows, integrating with 650+ software and data partners. You will join the AI Platform team as a Senior AI Engineer, responsible for architecting and delivering core AI capabilities that power the platform. This is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on shipping production-grade AI systems at scale. Key responsibilities include: - Drive end-to-end execution of AI-native products from prototype to scalable production services - Architect and productionize core AI platform components: LLMs and ecosystems (vector DBs, prompt tuning), agentic frameworks, and agent capabilities (MCP, tool use, web browsing, computer use) - Enforce technical discipline and operational excellence across AI products - Rapidly iterate on AI products based on performance metrics and user feedback - Lead evaluation and adoption of emerging AI technologies to keep Addepar at the industry frontier - Partner with product managers and engineering teams to translate strategic goals into technical execution Required qualifications: - Extensive professional backend software engineering experience with Python, Golang, gRPC, AWS, and Kubernetes - Proven track record shipping complex, production-grade systems - Demonstrated experience shipping AI-native products or significant personal AI projects - Deep ownership mindset and bias for action with rapid iteration - BS/MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent quantitative experience - Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available) Preferred qualifications include specific LLM and agentic systems experience, hands-on work with Databricks/Langchain/MLFlow, advanced understanding of probabilistic systems in LLMs, and experience building AI products in accuracy-sensitive domains like finance.
