Echodyne is seeking a Senior RF Test and Debug Engineer to join the team developing high-performance commercial radar solutions. The company specializes in compact solid-state beam-steering radar for autonomous vehicles, uncrewed aircraft, drones, and critical infrastructure security applications. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing measurements and extended tests on Echodyne's radar RF subsystems and components. You will compile and analyze test data to distill key performance metrics, identify root causes of failures, and troubleshoot complex RF failure modes. A significant part of your work involves designing, maintaining, and improving RF test and measurement capabilities, methods, fixtures, and equipment. You will collaborate closely with electrical engineering, systems, and manufacturing teams to identify metrics of interest, anticipate measurement requirements, and develop troubleshooting procedures and guidelines. The role includes mentoring and training junior engineers and technicians, reflecting the senior nature of the position. Required qualifications include hands-on experience with microelectronics printed circuit assemblies in a lab environment, familiarity with ESD equipment and procedures, and extensive experience using RF test equipment at microwave frequencies (network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, amplifiers). You must have strong knowledge of standard RF metrics such as return-loss, gain, noise-figure, compression point, and bandwidth, and experience analyzing test results for root-cause analysis. Desired skills include Python or MATLAB experience interfacing with test equipment via COM, PHY, or GPIB protocols, and experience designing, building, and troubleshooting analog and digital circuits. Minimum qualifications: BS or MS degree in Engineering or Physics with 5+ years of hands-on RF measurement experience. U.S. citizenship, green card status, or asylum/refugee status is required due to export control regulations (ITAR/EAR) governing the company's radar technology.
